Call for Volunteers! Missouri High School Mock Trial Competition

The Missouri High School Mock Trial Competition has an urgent need for volunteers to serve as presiding judges and jurors for upcoming competition rounds via Zoom.
This year’s competition will be held virtually via Zoom. No mock trial experience is necessary. This is an excellent opportunity to hone your trial advocacy and evidentiary skills from the other side of the bench. The program cannot proceed without the help of volunteers, so I am asking that you to please consider volunteering your time. There are many opportunities to volunteer at various times in January, February, and April.
If you can volunteer, please sign-up online at https://signup.com/go/vnxjGnb or email me at [email protected] with your preference of date and time, preference of serving as a judge or evaluator (we do our best to accommodate, but cannot guarantee placement), and any high schools you are affiliated with. Again, no mock trial experience is necessary. A volunteer briefing will be conducted immediately prior to the trials. Presiding judges must be attorneys, but anyone with at least a bachelor’s degree can serve as a juror.
If you are unable to volunteer, please forward this email to your colleagues.
Thank you in advance. Your time is greatly appreciated. The students work extremely hard to prepare for the competition and it’s because of volunteers like you that this program can continue.
