Gateway to the Future: Marketing and Business Development Strategies for the New Legal World

On May 1-2, 2014, the ABA Law Practice Division will host its Law Firm Marketing Strategies Conference at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel in St. Louis. Two full days with 20+ educational sessions are offered on law-firm marketing designed to appeal to large firm, small firm, and do-it-yourself lawyers. Highlights include:

  • "How to Work a Room" by Susan Roane, author of the best-seller How to Work a Room;
  • "Global Insights into Today's Legal Market" by Gerry Riskin, a globally-recognized law firm consultant with active law firm clients in 30 countries;
  • "Using Storytelling to Make Your Marketing Message Unique" by Corey Saban, a law firm marketing expert and former AP-winning and EMMY-nominated journalist;
  • Breakouts include client communications, marketing through alternative fees, measuring results of online activity, the ethics of talking online and more.
