DESCRIPTION
With a problem-solving emphasis for businesses, this presentation addresses owner and tenant options for building energy efficiency, recycling and waste reduction, green cleaning, environmentally preferable purchasing, and effectively marketing green practices. Featuring local examples from companies participating in the St. Louis Green Business Challenge.

PARKING
Greensfelder is located at 10 S. Broadway, Ste. 2000, St. Louis, MO 63102. Parking will be validated for those that park in the Stadium East Parking Garage. Please bring your ticket with you. Once you have parked in the garage on any level except yellow (which is reserved), take the elevator or the stairs to Level 6 (yellow) and go across the bridge into the building.  Use the rectangular elevator key pads to push the buttons corresponding to the floor number (for example, press 2 then 0 for the 20th floor), then read the display (small rectangular window at the top of the Keypad) to see which elevator has been assigned to you.  Catch the elevator that corresponds with the letter from the display screen.  Our reception is on the 20th floor.

CERTIFICATION APPROVALS
CLMSM App Credit for Functional Specialists: 1 hour in the subject area of  Legal Industry/ Business Management (LI) towards the additional hours required of some Functional Specialists to fulfill the CLM application.
CLMSM Recertification Credit: 1  hour in the subject area of Legal Industry/ Business Management (LI)

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Jean Ponzi
Green Resources Manager, Missouri Botanical Garden

As a 22-year veteran of the Garden’s EarthWays Center team, “Green Jean” works with businesses of all types and sizes to implement everyday and innovative sustainability practices, as coordinator of the St. Louis Green Business Challenge. She serves on the core team of the community initiative, BiodiverseCity St. Louis. She also responds to public inquiries with resources, referrals and information as operator of the Garden’s “Planet Doctor” answer service. Her areas of expertise include recycling, composting and waste reduction; indoor air quality, energy efficiency, green building, native plant landscaping for biodiversity and water conservation. She’s in demand as a speaker, in business and community settings, and has written for GreenBiz.com, Home Energy, Grist and Missouri Resources magazines and many local publications. She produces and hosts weekly environmental talk programs for KDHX-FM and KTRS-AM, serving as a regional environmental media resource for nearly 30 years.
