Message from the President

Writing the script is the first step.  Developing the cast of characters and making the story come to life can prove to be a difficult task.  This is not the case with my amazing and talented ALA Gateway Board, Committee Chairs and Members.

It’s hard to believe I am over half-way through my ALA Gateway Chapter Presidency and it’s time to wish Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones!  November and December are eventful months for ALA Gateway!

  • On 11/12, please join us at the Life is Better with Chocolate social connection event with DTI and Juris Temps.  We will start the event at A Pizza Story & Bar at 5:30 pm and continue to Kakao Chocolate next door at 7:00 pm.  It’s sure to a fun-filled evening!  Please RSVP to Patty Barbachem at pbarbachem@thompsoncoburn.com.
  • On 11/14, we will be volunteering at Operation Food Search in conjunction with the Operation Backpack Project.  Please contact Sherry Smith to volunteer at sls@carmodymacdonald.com.
  • Our monthly education session will be at The Cheshire on 11/19.  Josh Bleill will share his story – One Step at a Time:  A Young Marine’s Story of Courage, Hope, and a New Life in the NFL.  Please register on the ALA Gateway Chapter website or email Brenda Deertz at bdeertz@polsinelli.com
  • The ALA Gateway Chapter is proudly sponsoring the Diversity Awareness Partnership Awards Dinner which will be held at Windows on Washington on the 11/20.  Several members will be attending the event.
  • The Holiday Party will be held at Ballpark Village on 12/10.  Vice President, Kara Brostron, has fun things in store for us this year! You won’t want to miss spending time with our supportive Business Partners!
